OVERVIEW

Examination Cell – SITS

The Examination Cell at Siddhartha Institute of Technology & Sciences (SITS) ensures smooth, transparent, and fair conduct of all examinations. As a UGC Autonomous institution affiliated to JNTUH, SITS conducts semester examinations following both JNTUH regulations and its own autonomous examination scheme.

All examination activities β€” from scheduling and hall ticket issuance to result declaration and grievance redressal β€” are managed by the Controller of Examinations under the supervision of the Academic Council.

Regular Semester Exams


  • ● B.Tech I–VIII Semesters (JNTUH)
  • ● MBA I–IV Semesters

  • ● Nov–Dec and Apr–May Sessions
  • ● As per JNTUH Academic Calendar

Autonomous Internal Exams


  • ● Mid-Term Examination I and II
  • ● Assignment and Seminar Evaluation
  • ● Lab Internal Assessment
  • ● Unit Tests and Quizzes
  • ● Continuous Assessment (40 Marks)

Supplementary / Backlog


  • ● For students with failed subjects
  • ● After regular exam session
  • ● Same pattern as regular exams
  • ● All years applicable
  • ● Results within 30 days

Hall Ticket / Admit Card

Who Gets Hall Ticket?

Cleared all dues + 75% attendance + no pending disciplinary action. All criteria must be met.

When Released?

3 days before the scheduled exam start date. Collect from Examination Section or Department.

How to Download?

Login to student portal, go to Hall Ticket section, download and print. Carry ID card to exam hall.

Lost Hall Ticket?

Get duplicate from Examination Section after paying Rs. 50 fee. Without Hall Ticket, entry is denied.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Examination Rules and Code of Conduct

Attendance Requirement

  • ● Minimum 75% attendance mandatory to appear
  • ● Below 65% not eligible, no condonation
  • ● 65%–74% Medical or OD condonation applicable
  • ● Verified by Department and Dean of Academics

During Examination

  • ● Reach 15 minutes before scheduled start time
  • ● Carry Hall Ticket and College ID Card
  • ● Mobile phones, smartwatches strictly banned
  • ● Students cannot leave before exam ends
  • ● Only transparent pouches for exam materials

Answer Script Rules

  • ● Blue or black ballpoint pen only
  • ● Pencil only for diagrams and graphs
  • ● Roll Number on every supplement sheet
  • ● Submit script before leaving the hall
  • ● Retain Hall Ticket until results are declared

Malpractice and Disciplinary Action

  • ● Chits or notes cause immediate cancellation
  • ● Mobile phone causes cancellation + debarred
  • ● Impersonation leads to permanent expulsion
  • ● Copying leads to cancellation and semester loss
  • ● Exchange of materials causes paper cancellation

Re-Evaluation Policy

  • ● Apply within 7 days of answer script disclosure
  • ● Re-Evaluation: Rs 500 per subject (non-refundable)
  • ● Photocopy of script: Rs 300 per subject
  • ● Re-Totalling: Rs 200 per subject
  • ● Results after re-evaluation are final

Grading System (Autonomous)

  • ● O (Outstanding): 90–100 = 10 Grade Points
  • ● A+ (Excellent): 80–89 = 9 Grade Points
  • ● A (Very Good): 70–79 = 8 Grade Points
  • ● B+ (Good): 60–69 = 7 Grade Points
  • ● B (Above Average): 50–59 = 6 Grade Points
  • ● C (Pass): 45–49 = 5 Grade Points
  • ● F (Fail): Below 40 = 0 Grade Points
  • ● AB (Absent) = 0 Grade Points
